R. Lipscomb shares very candidly her family's journey through life. Her story is a very real look at life, marriage and children from the eyes of one who did not live the fairytale story with a fairytale ending. It is a true story that is raw with the reality and emotion that unfortunately, is probably closer to the reality of life for most in this day and age.

After all of the details, twists and turns in this story, T. R. Lipscomb's life lesson is that

If you put your trust in God and look to Him to provide peace, comfort and healing, He can heal your family relationships and help you get through any situation that you are facing in life!

Available at Amazon Books

Dearest Children - epilogue, part 4

Abram took his nephew <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Lot The father was encouraging his adult son who was recovering from a serious gunshot wound. He told his son something like "when you are going through something so horrible that you are ready to give up, God will send you a responsibility that needs your The first thing that comes to my mind for a situation like this is the call God gave to Abram and Sarai to leave their home in Ur.

It is thought that they were the only ones worshiping Yahweh at that time, so can you imagine what went through Sarai's head when Abram told her they were moving at His command? I understand her fear of the unknown as that was one of my major emotional battles as I left my home of 20 years, my home that was located in the town I had come to live in as a bride 30 years prior to this event.

Why did God allow my home to be stolen out from under me? What glory could he possibly receive by my daughter's attempt to put me on the street? To paraphrase the words of Joseph, my daughter may have meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

As my MS continued to deteriorate, he knew I needed the much shorter, much easier, commute my move gave me. As I continued to struggle with loneliness, I needed the gift of a dear sister-in-the-Lord whose back door was only a few yards from my front door. As I fought with the frustration of "not serving him," God used me to show love and be a friend to my neighbor (and her family) on the other side of me. In time, he graciously showed me that he had not forgotten me. Yes, he would use even this event for my good and his glory. I needed to stop fretting and simply continue to rest in him. As he had taught me years ago, he is perfectly able to handle this situation without my help! ...to be continued

Dearest Children - epilogue

It was the day before June's birthday, 29 June 2008. I had lost my battle to keep the home I had lived in for over 20 years. It had been a long, hard fought battle; one that took its toll on my finances and my health. Amazingly, i was at peace. The Father had been with me, still carrying me through this nightmare my life had become. My precious daughter, the one that i had loved, supported, helped heal from years spent in foster care, helped heal from the ravages of her birth home, had been successful in putting her mother on the street.

Well, not on the street. Like Syria, i was following The Father to a new home that he would provide for me. Like Syria i would face more trials, more unexpected events that could place me in danger. And like Syria, i had God himself to carry me, protect me, to be a lap i could climb up into when the pain got to be too much for me to bear. There were days when the pain of missing my children almost immobilized me, when the frustration at yet again being mistreated by the court system was too much for me to handle, when there was a day that i awoke thinking i simply could not get out of bed. The Father was the ONLY one i could depend on to consistently be there for me when i needed a good cry, to scream and yell at the unfairness of it all, to listen when i need to vent by saying some very "unChristlike" things.

As we were pulling away from my home, moving me to a rented house that was not the safest for my MS, a thought formed. This new thought was one that would get me through four moves within two years. It was nothing short of a miracle as when i put down roots, it takes an act of God to pull them out! "It's nothing more than kindling." "It's just kindling. God has something better for me." We are so in Matthew 24, so my mind seemed to go to the place of thinking of my home as kindling as an excellent way of thinking of my former home as i drove away. That thought became my "mantra" as i moved from one rented house to a rented motel room to yet another rented house over the next four years. God would go before me, guiding me, protecting me, providing for me as i went through each day. Lipscomb
ISBN# 1-59755-128-7
Review Date: December 15, 2011
Reviewed by: CBM Christian Book Reviews
10.0 stars on a scale of 10.0 stars

Sometimes life has a way of turning inside out and upside down. What do we do when our world changes for the worse? What do we do when our family has been broken apart and it looks as though all the pieces may never fit together again? There is hope, as author T.R. Lipscomb shares in her new book release, “Dearest Children-Why Have You Abandoned Me?”

T.R. Lipscomb courageously and openly shares her mother’s heart, as she writes of her journey through a heart-wrenching betrayal of an unfaithful husband, and her journey through her life, marriage and the loss of her dear children that threw her into a pit of despair for years. Transparently, she shares her heartache as a heartbroken, confused wife and mother, deeply affected by betrayal and loss, including the loss of her own health.

Despite intense persecution from those closest to her and the absolute injustice of our own “court system”, the author has emerged through this fiery trial healed and whole, and wanting to help others through their trials. She boldly proclaims the Gospel and triumphantly states that healing is available to all through Jesus Christ.

Filled with scripture, letters to her “Dearest Children” and many life lessons learned from the Lord, the author testifies to the glorious transformation taking place within her as she candidly shares her own unique story. Tried in the “fire of affliction”, this woman has come through the fire as “gold” and encourages others that they too can have hope!

Come, read, and find beauty for ashes, and hope instead of despair…be inspired by her testimony as the author proclaims the Truth and reality of God’s Holy Word. Share in her life’s lessons from her Father in Heaven and learn from her story. Learn that you have a Father in Heaven who loves you, knows your needs and wants to restore you, your family and your life. This book triumphantly rejoices in God, His grace and mercy that is a testimony to the healing, love and restoration that is available to all if you put your trust in Him.

A highly recommended read - Proclaiming hope for the hopeless and giving others the encouragement that they may need to get through their own “trial”, the author stands and proclaims that the justice of the Lord is near! Truly an inspiring life story!

Dearest Children-Why Have You Abandoned Me? By Author T.R. Lipscomb's life lesson is that

if you put your trust in God and look to Him to provide peace, comfort and healing, He can heal your family relationships and help you get through any situation that you are facing in life!

Available here on Amazon

Available at Advantage Books

Book

Is your family life seemingly broken beyond repair?

Have you lost hope of ever having a peaceful family life?

In Dearest Children, T. R. Lipscomb shares very candidly her family's journey through life. Her story is a very real look at life, marriage and children from the eyes of one who did not live the fairytale story with a fairytale ending. Lipscomb co-founded the Women's Support Ministry of Southern New Jersey which is a support group for a loved one who is incarcerated. It serves under the direction of Wings of Eagles Minstries, Inc.

Mission Statement

To teach what God has taught me by whatever means He has given me to use and to whomever He places in front of me.

Biography

Teri was born, raised, educated and still resides in South Jersey – a bona fide “Jersey Girl.” At the age of 10, she began to follow Jesus after accepting Him as Savior when her Pioneer Girls group attended a mission’s conference at her home church. She was baptized by immersion at 16. During her youth, she was given the gift of teaching, with a call to teach through word and song. Since that time she has continued to teach both in the church body and out of it.

Teri’s BA is in Mathematics, concentrating in Applied Mathematics. Her Master’s degree is in Community College Teaching, Specializing in Mathematics. She has been teaching Mathematics at the post-secondary level for about 25 years.

In her early twenties she founded a Pioneer Girls ministry in her home church. She coordinated (led) that ministry for 15 years. As she was teaching “her girls,” she was called to serve as a deaconess, eventually serving as head deaconess for several years. She has served as a soloist and choir member in her church since the age of 14, eventually being called to sing in other venues than her home congregation. In 1994 she founded the state affiliate of her primary professional organization. In the spring of 1996, God called her to step down from the Pioneer Girl ministry position as He had changed her calling from ministering to children and women to that of women only. The following March (1997) she was diagnosed with Relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis.

The greatest miracle in her life was the day she met her son. That was the day God answered the cry of her heart to become a mother. Christmas Eve 1990 was the day he officially became her son. God completed her family by giving her two of her son’s seven birth sisters to adopt, thus completing this family in August 1991. In addition to the three “Dearest Children” God gave her and her husband, Teri also helped to raise her husband’s son.

After the shock she endured, the story of which she wrote about quite candidly in her book; after God had begun the work of her healing, The Father had her turn her pain into the start of another, much needed ministry. In March 2004, she and two sisters she met during prison visitations founded the Women’s Support Ministry of Southern New Jersey, serving under the direction of a statewide prison ministry. She has known the founder and director of this ministry for 30+ years. WSMSJ is a para-church ministry to women with a loved one who is incarcerated.
